Nifty up at 10795, Metal Stock Rise, Nifty Tips

Stock Markets continue to rise higher with nifty trading near day's high in the afternoon hours of trade, Thursday.  Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 110 points at 10,795-mark, while the BSE Sensex was up 375 points at 35,554.50. Yesterday, the Central Bank announced a rate hike, increasing the repo rate by 25 base points that has lead to a rise in today’s trade.

Most metal stocks including SAIL, Jindal Steel & Power and Hindustan Copper were trading in the positive zone, among other metal stocks, during early afternoon trade on Thursday with Nifty Metal index rose 2.07 percent up at up at 3,694.35 around 2:00 pm. 

Shares of Sail India (up 5.24%), Jindal Steel (up 3.96%), Vedanta (up 3.79%), Tata Steel (up 3.13%), JSW Steel (up 2.26%) and Welspun Corp  (up 1.78%) were also among the top gainers in the metal pack. 

Vedanta, Tata Steel and Axis Bank were leading the pack of Nifty gainers, while Coal India, Bajaj Auto, Eicher Motors were among the top losers in the Nifty index.

Invest in Stocks: IPO heats up, 36 Cos lines up

The IPOs (Initial Public Offering) picks up momentum as there are thirty six companies have lined up initial share sale plans worth Rs. 35,000 crore in the months ahead, prospecting their fund expansion for their projects.

Some of those Companies which goes ahead for IPO, include Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency, IRCON International Ltd, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited, RITES Ltd, Garden Reach Ship builders and Engineers and Mazagon Dock.

Additionally, over two dozen companies including Credit Access Grameen, Route Mobile, Sembcorp Energy India, Lodha Developers and Flemingo Travel Retail are awaiting regulatory nod for IPOs.

Meantime, about 15 companies including ICICI Securities Ltd, Bandhan Bank Ltd, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd and Mishra Dhatu Nigam Ltd have hit the capital markets thus far this year.

An Initial Public Offering or IPO is when a private company or Corporation raises investment funds by offering its stock to the public for the first time. IPOs are often issued by growing companies seeking capital to expand. In an IPO, the Company or the issuer raising capital, procures the assistance of an under-writing Company or investment bank, to help find out the best type of security to issue, offering price, amount of shares and the time-frame for the market offering.

Stocks Moving Early afternoon hours of trade, Tuesday

Tata Motors: Shares of leading automobile manufacturer Tata Motors Limited Gains 4.78 percent at Rs. 30.05 after China Reduces Import Duty on passenger cars to 15 percent, in the early afternoon hours of trade on NSE.

L&T:  Shares of Larsen and Toubro (L&T) snapped a 6-day decline, its longest losing streak in over two months, and was trading up by 0.60% to Rs 1,321.25 on NSE, after the construction major bagged an order worth Rs 4,033 crore.

Fortis Healthcare:  Shares of the hospital chain operator Fortis Healthcare Limited snapped 3-day gains and declined 2.09 percent to Rs 145.30. Fortis Healthcare will hold a General Meeting on changes of the board of directors. Its stock fell 7.5% so far this year and lost 24% percent in the past 12 months.

Infibeam Incorporation: Shares of the online marketplace Infibeam Incorporation Limited was trading down 0.06 percent to Rs 164.10. The company plans fundraising on May 30, as per stock exchange filing.

Essar Shipping: Shares of the Shipping & Logistics Company Essar Shipping Limited swung between gains and losses and was trading now at Rs 18.30 down by 2.22 percent. The stock has fell 43% so far this year.

Markets turn Flat Ahead of Karnataka Exit Poll

Key benchmark indices turned flat after opening higher in the morning deals, as investors digested the outcome from the Karnataka exit polls, where it was mainly forecast that no party would be able to form the govt in the state on its own.

At 12:10 hours, the BSE index was trading down by 16.98 points at 35,518.81 while the NSE Nifty was at 10,797.10 down by 9.40 points.

Shares of Canara bank were trading down by 0.26%.  The Bank has posted a net profit of Rs 4859.77 crore for the quarter ending March 31, 2018, against a profit of Rs 214.18 crore. The gross NAP of the bank surged to 11.84 % againt 10.38% on Quarter on quarter.

Shares of Allahabad Bank were trading down by 2.74% at Rs. 44.45. The Bank has reported a net loss of Rs 3,510 crores. The gross NAP were placed at 15.96% V/s 14.38% on Quarter on quarter.

UCO Bank shares were also down in trade today, down by 2.39% at Rs. 18.35. The Bank saw net losses at the bank widen to Rs 2,134.36 crore v/s loss of Rs 588.19 crore, Year on Year.
Shares of Federal Bank were trading down by 0.11% at Rs. 89.95. The bank witnessed a fall of 43.5% in standalone net profit in the quarter ended March 2018.

Nifty Intraday Stock Tips, Nifty Toppers, Free Stock Tips

Stock Market benchmark Nifty, Sensex was trading higher led by Asian Paints, ICICI Bank, HDFC, Infosys and L&T. At 11.10 AM, the Nifty50 index of NSE was trading at 10,755, up 36 points, while the Sensitive index of BSE was trading at 35,349.48, up 113 points.

On NSE, Shares of telecom major Bharti Airtel fell 5.11 percent after Reliance Jio started post-paid plan with monthly rental at the rate of Rs. 199, together with an ISD calling service at a starting price of 50 paise, per minute.  Shares of Idea Cellular, which was also fell 7.63 percent, on this Jio plan impact.

Shares of PC Jeweller gained over 4 percent in the early trade, but later shares fell 0.31 percent on NSE. 

The BoD of PC Jeweller Ltd has approved the Buy Back upto 1.21 crore fully paid-up Equity Shares of Rs.10.00 each, comprising of 3.07 percent of the total paid-up equity capital of the Company, from the share-holders of the Company.

Asian Paints, HPCL, IndiaBulls Bajaj Finance and IOC were the top gainers on Nifty50.  On the flip side, Bharti Airtel, Sun Pharma, Bharti Infratel, Hero Motors and Dr. Reddy’s were the top losers at this point.

Meantime, the Indian rupee rose in the early trade on Friday. The domestic currency has opened higher by 16 paise at 67.15 per USD versus 67.31 yesterday.

Nifty trades below 10,630 mark; Nifty Stock Tips

Key benchmark indices extended losses in the afternoon hours of trade at 1.40 pm, with the Sensex shedding 152 points tacking losses in global shares. Shares of Sun Pharma, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Bajaj Auto and Eicher Motors edged lower in the first afternoon hours of deal.

Sectorally, the Nifty Metal index was trading 0.82 percent lower led by a fall in shares of National Aluminium and Hindustan Zinc. The Nifty IT index also was down led by a fall in shares of Tata Elxsi, MindTree and Oracle Financial Services Software.

Shares of Godrej Properties rose 2.81 percent after the company reported its net profit figured at Rs. 141.5 crore, increased by 126 percent on year on year basis.

Adani Ports (+2.42%), GAIL India (+2.09%), HCL tech (+1.06%) Hindustan Unilever (+0.88%), Tech Mahindra (+0.81%) were the top gainers on Nifty50.

Sun Pharma (-2.80%), Bajaj Auto (-2.19%), Axis Bank and Eicher Motors (-2.13%) and Indiabulls HF (-2.05%) were the top losers in today’s trade.

Nifty at 10,700 mark; Kotak Mahindra Bank stocks lead

Sensex, Nifty trade almost flat backed by buying in select private bank, FMCG, financial and auto stocks during afternoon trade on Wednesday.  Heavy selling in metal, IT, FMCG and Teck stocks restricted the gains.

At 2:30 PM, the BSE Sensex was trading at 35,165.68, up 5.32 points, while the NSE Nifty50 index was trading at 10,723.20 down 16 points. The BSE Midcap and SmallCap were down by 1.14% and 0.97% respectively.

SAIL stock fell 5.28% after 30.00 lakh shares changed hands in a block, while shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank zoomed 4.23% on the back of heavy volumes.

Nifty IT index was in the red  down by 1.61%  with shares of Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Infibeam on account of losses in heavyweights including HCL Technologies (down 4.38%) during afternoon trade on Wednesday. 

Kotak Mahindra Bank (+4.23%), Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (+2.51%), ITC Ltd (+2.11%), Asian Paints (+1.68%), HDFC Bank (+1.60%) were the top gainers on Nifty50.

HCL Tech (-4.55%), Vedanta (-4.32%), Hindalco (-2.89%), Tata Steel (-2.77%) and Sun Pharma  (-2.73%) were the top losers at this point.

Equity benchmark indices started on a weaker note on Monday opening trade on negative global signals after the US stroke missile attack on Syria following which prices of oil rose setting off a downturn in investor sentiments. The benchmark Sensex hit a day’s bottom of 33,900 levels while the NSE indicator Nifty 50 slumped to a day’s low of 10,396 levels on Monday. 

Shares of IT major Infosys Ltd were the biggest losers among the BSE Sensex after the company announced its earnings results for the quarter and the financial year ended 31 March 2018.

Shares of Gruh Finance Limited rose 3 percent to Rs 632 after the company announced a net profit of Rs. 130 crore in March quarter.

Shares of United Spirit Ltd rose 0.70% at 3,509.20 after the company approved a stock split in the ratio of 5:1.

Shares of Dilip Buildcon Limited rose 0.80% at 1149.65 after the company has incorporated five new special purpose vehicles Companies for five projects awarded by the NHAI valued at Rs. 6306.9 Crores.

The Indian rupee weakened against US dollar in the midst of geopolitical worries over Syria and trade war concerns. The rupee was trading at 65.38 against US dollar, down 0.26 percent from its Friday’s close of 65.22.

Reliance Industries to buy 73% stake in Embibe

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) today announced that the company has entered into agreements to acquire about 73 percent stake Embibe, the education technology solution provider,  and will invest USD 180 million (Rs. 1,175 crore)  into the company over the next three years.  According to the present details available, the deal is expected to be closed in 2 months' time.

Reliance Industries aims to connect over 1.9 million schools and 58,000 universities in India with technology.

Embibe is an emerging education technology provider established in 2012 is a growing company in the education technology sphere.

In addition, the company will also work to broader its geographical reach and grow its business together providing services including professional skilling, vernacular languages and all of the curriculum categories all over India and even abroad.

Shares of Reliance Industries Limited closed in BSE at Rs. 938.85 on Friday, in comparison with the previous close of Rs. 927.55.  The stock hit an intraday peak of Rs. 941.40 and intraday low of  Rs. 929.10.

Sobha Ltd climbs over 9% on reporting strong yearly sales

Shares of Indian multinational Real estate developer Sobha Limited  surged over 9% in early trade on Friday after the company informed the exchanges that its  fourth quarter and year 2017-2018 reached out to be the best ever in  terms of value with growth across regions and product group. 

The scrip was trading 8.60 per cent up at Rs 551.80 at the mid noon hours (12:40 IST). Shares of Sobha Ltd opened at Rs 535.00 and touched a high of Rs. 564.00 during the day. Benchmark BSE Sensex was down 21.98 points, or 0.07 percent, at 33,574 and NSE Nifty too down at 15.10 points or 0.15% at 10,310.04, at the same time.

On the NSE, the stock opened at Rs. 550.00, and it surged further to Rs. 564.00 higher by 10.82 percent over its previous closing price.

Sobha Ltd registered new sales volume of 3.63 million SQ.ft, with the total value at Rs. 2861 crore, as per filing.

Stock Buzz, Mid-noon hours of trade - Intraday Trading Tips

ICICI Bank shares fell 6.41% to Rs. 260.50 on NSE during the mid-noon hours, on Monday, after the bank announced its board expressed and reposed full faith in its M.D & CEO, Chanda Kochhar.

Nifty Auto Index was trading over 1.5 percent. Bosch (+3.47%), Tata Motors (+2.29%), TVS Motors Company Ltd, Maruti Suzuki India Limited (+1.62%), Bajaj Auto Limited (+1.75%).

Lupin Limited stock gains 3.62% at Rs. 762.50 after Canadian regulator clears Pithampur unit-II.
Stocks of Ashok Leyland Limited rose upto 1.07% at Rs. 147.00 as the company reported a 20 percent increase in total sales at 22,453 units for March as against 18,701 units in the equivalent month last year.

Bajaj Auto Stock advances 1.83% at Rs. 2,794.95  .after the company said that it has  sold 3,34,348 vehicles in March 2018 as against 2,72,197 vehicles in March 2017, registering a growth of 23 percent year-on-year.

Sandhar Technologies Limited’s scrip got listed at Rs 346.10 per share on the NSE, a 4 percent premium to the issue price of Rs 332.

Nifty Trading tips: Nifty Auto index up

Key equity indices were in the negative territory ahead of March Future and Option (F&O) expiry and ahead of the financial year ending. 

The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.24% up at 10,869, post lunch hours of trade, Wednesday, with shares of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, which was trading up 1.63%, being the top gainers. 

Shares of Hero MotoCorp (up 1.34%), Motherson Sumi Systems (up 0.65%), Bosch Limited (up 1.15%), Amara Raja Batteries Limited (up 1.15%) and MRF Limited (up 1.09 were also trading with gains. 

However, shares of Bajaj Auto were trading down 1.34% followed by Mahindra & Mahindra (down 1.00%), Bharat Forge (down 0.62%), Eicher Motors (down 0.54%), Tata Motors limited (down 0.51%), Tata Motors (DVR) (down 0.43%), Apollo Tyres (down 0.40%), Exide Industries (down 0.11%), and Ashok Leyland (down 0.07%) which were among the losers in the auto index. 

The NSE Nifty50 index was down 41.20 points at 10,142.95, while the BSE Sensex was 141.03 points at 33,033.36 at 2.25 pm, on Wednesday.

Index trend and Stocks movements in the afternoon deals

Sun Pharma: Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd on Wednesday said that the company won an approval from the U.S. drug regulator for its specialty drug ILUMYA for plaque psoriasis.

Shares of Sun Pharma rose as much as 3.45% intraday high to Rs 521.9 in the morning hours, but post lunch hours of deal, the stock was trading 0.61% at Rs. 507.80

Zensar Technologies: Zensar Technologies Limited acquires U.S based insurance-technology company Cynosure for USD 33 million, to increase its foothold in the fast-growing property & casualty insurance space.

Shares of Zensar Technologies rose as much were trading 1.86% to Rs 927 at this point.

ITI Limited: The Cabinet approved a Deptt of Telecom proposal to allow its public sector unit ITI Limited to offer 18 crore fresh equity shares to public through a further public offer in the domestic market.

Shares of ITI Ltd were trading 2.66% at Rs. 119.80 in the afternoon hours.  In the morning hours, the stocks traded intraday higher upto 6.8%.

Dish TV: Dish TV India Limited said that the merger of Videocon D2H Limited into the company has been completed with effect from 22 March 2018. Shares of Dish TV India were trading up 1.74% to Rs. 67.10 at this point.
